i-Optics is a leading pioneer in the development of superior eye diagnosis solutions that are affordable, fast and easy to use by care providers to better serve patients across the world in the most convenient way. Our product pipeline includes the EasyScan, Cassini and EyePrevent. The EasyScan is a fast and easy to use zero dilation retinal imaging system based on SLO technology for the diagnosis of Diabetic Retinopathy, AMD and Glaucoma. The Cassini is a first of its kind corneal topographer based on the principle of color LED topography (CLT), which allows for superior diagnosis for contact lens fitting, corneal transplant and LASIK surgery. EyePrevent is an integrated service for screening of diabetes patients and others on retinal diseases that could lead to blindness.
The initial product development phase leading to the first products is successfully finished and i-Optics is now making the transition from R&D to Marketing & Sales. The Product Manager is responsible for developing and delivering the global product marketing strategy for the EasyScan retinal imaging product and initially also assisting with (downstream) product management tasks related to the Cassini color LED Topographer. The main focus will be however on all product management activities and deliverables for the EasyScan.
Responsibilities:
- Generate market and customer insight in the ophthalmology and optometry markets, including key clinical, technology and market trend information and translate this into product strategy and marketing plans
- Develop and lead the delivery of product marketing plans, including product roadmaps, pricing, promotional, distribution and pricing strategies
- Lead the product development process starting with product idea to product business plan and detailing of market needs to product requirements and specifications.
- Manage the transition over to R&D for product development, monitor and manage the timelines including timely preparation for product launch and commercialization
- Drive the execution of go-to-market plans for the EasyScan and Cassini, including product launch, promotional material, sales tools and support to the sales force and distributor network
- Deliver the market success and sales numbers for each product, by closely monitoring and managing the category and products in close collaboration with sales and management
Who will you be working with?
I-Optics currently employs close to 30 employees. Marketing and sales currently consists of a team of 8 people and is rapidly expanding. You will be working closely with the various colleagues in the team, including marketing communications, clinical marketing and sales. You will also closely collaborate and count on the support from the rest of the team, including research, product development and customer support.
Who are we looking for?
You have a Master degree in Sciences, Engineering or Business Administration and 10 years of experience in commercials roles, including International product management. You come with a successful track record of launching a new product in the market and have extensive experience with managing the product development process from start till successful sales in Global markets. You have excellent Dutch and English language skills (written and verbal). The ideal candidate comes with a proven track record that shows outstanding commercial and business achievements based on an entrepreneurial attitude and strong market focus. Your background should have a mix of relevant product or clinical experience in the ophthalmology space (equipment, consumables, pharma, services) and commercial track record in marketing products to ophthalmologists, optometrists or optician stores.
